Muslim Campus Life Summit

The Muslim Campus Life Summit (MCLS) project aims to bring together university professionals who serve and/or do research on Muslim students, as well as Muslim professionals in the higher education administrative space. The goals of this convening are:
- To engage diverse perspectives and frameworks (academic, chaplaincy, DEI) on key issues, and
- To determine strategic collaborations, learning models, and future prospects for Muslim campus life in the US.

First Summit hosted January 29-30, 2023
The Markaz hosted the first Muslim Campus Life Summit in Winter, 2023. A dozen participants came from universities all over the United States, representing chaplain’s offices, student affairs and diversity offices, and academic researchers. The Stanford Report covered the convening, and organizers prepared a formal report that includes a list of participants, executive summary, and key take-ways.
