MMHI Coordinator

Faiza Ashar

Faiza Ashar is an Indonesian-American sophomore from Baltimore, Maryland, studying Communications and Design.  Her interests include journalism, communications, international relations, and how technology links each of these topics on a global scale.

As this year’s Muslim Mental Health Initiative (MMHI) Coordinator, she hopes to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health, connecting Muslim students to the critical mental health resources they need. Her main goal for this year is empowering Stanford’s Muslim community with accessible mental health knowledge and creating safe spaces for these topics to be discussed.

On the weekends, she’s either typing up another Daily article, designing a spread for MINT Magazine, or going cafe hopping with friends around the Bay.
