Yousef AbuHashem

Yousef AbuHashem is excited to be the first Markaz-CSRE Palestine fellow. Yousef is a junior majoring in computer science. Specifically, he is interested in low-level computer systems as it satisfies his curiosity in understanding computers on a fundamental level. He is also pursuing a minor in education which satisfies his pursuit for development and empowerment in the fields he is passionate about. Coming from Gaza, Yousef wants to use his fellowship as a tool to show the beauty, warmth, complexity, and struggle of the Palestine he grew up within and knows very well. In his free time, he enjoys playing Middle Eastern music on his Oud and singing to Arabic melodies.
