Muslim Campus Life Summit

Main content start

The Muslim Campus Life Summit (MCLS) project aims to bring together university professionals who serve and/or do research on Muslim students, as well as Muslim professionals in the higher education administrative space. The goals of this convening are:

  1. To engage diverse perspectives and frameworks (academic, chaplaincy, DEI) on key issues, and
  2. To determine strategic collaborations, learning models, and future prospects for Muslim campus life in the US.

First Summit hosted January 29-30, 2023

The Markaz hosted the first Muslim Campus Life Summit in Winter, 2023. A dozen participants came from universities all over the United States, representing chaplain’s offices, student affairs and diversity offices, and academic researchers. The Stanford Report covered the convening, and organizers prepared a formal report that includes a list of participants, executive summary, and key take-ways.
