The Markaz utilizes storytelling and art-making to uplift student voices, archive our rich history, and invite others to learn and engage with student perspectives.
- The Markaz routinely hosts an Artist-in-Residence at the center, who is provided with time, space, and support to develop a body of work to present at the Markaz. Students selected for this program work in all media, including, painting, photography, film, dance, and music.
- The Markazine celebrates 10 years of the center and its vibrant community though essays, interviews, and student art. The Markazine also tracks key moments in the development of the center and community in a timeline reflecting on the past decade.
- Mosaic is a storytelling platform for the diverse voices of the Markaz community. In this three season podcast, we explore a different theme to engage a variety of student voices and perspectives.
- Digital Markaz: An Archive of Community Art: An archive of creative and imaginative responses to COVID-19 featuring poems, visual art, music, and essays on themes of home and community in times of quarantine.
